The right software depends on how your hospital works. Write down your patient journey and payers first, then test each vendor on them.

Run a patient-journey demo
Ask each vendor to take one patient from registration through consultation, lab, pharmacy, admission, discharge and final bill. Include a scheme or TPA patient.
Talk to users
- Call two hospitals of similar size.
- Ask what broke in the first month and how it was fixed.
- Ask how updates and rate changes are handled.
Red flags
- The vendor cannot demo a complete patient journey with your payers.
- Unclear answers about what works without internet.
- No clear plan for data migration or training.
- Pricing that changes after the first conversation.
- References that cannot be contacted.
Tip: Choose the vendor who understands your workflow, not just the longest feature list.
