A CRM is only as useful as the questions it answers. A short set of weekly reports tells you where the pipeline is healthy and where it is stuck.
Weekly report set
| Report | Question |
|---|---|
| Pipeline by stage and value | Is there enough in the pipeline to hit target? |
| Conversion between stages | Where do deals drop out? |
| Source performance | Which channels produce orders? |
| Rep activity | Calls, meetings and follow-ups done |
| Win and loss reasons | Why do we win or lose? |
| Overdue follow-ups | Who is falling behind? |
| Weighted forecast | What should we expect this month? |
Forecast sensibly
- Weight deals by stage probability.
- Ask reps for a commit list of deals they will close this month.
- Compare forecast to actuals each month and fix the gaps.
Three levels of MIS
Owners want a one-page summary, sales managers want team and pipeline detail, and each rep wants a personal view of targets and tasks. NexoraCRM provides CEO, sales manager and personal MIS views with Excel and PDF export.
How to use a forecast
Treat the forecast as a conversation starter. If the weighted pipeline is below target, ask where more pipeline will come from. If a big deal is late, ask what is blocking it. A forecast that never changes is not being updated; a forecast that is always wrong needs better stage definitions or probabilities.
Tip: Hold a 30-minute weekly pipeline review using the same reports every time. Consistency makes trends visible.
