Can we keep using Excel for some reports?

Yes. Reports can be printed and exported, and many accountants prefer Excel for final checks. The difference is that the source data is entered once in the software, so the Excel file is a copy and not a second source of truth. This removes most mismatches between files.

What if our staff is not comfortable with computers?

Start with the fee counter and attendance, which are simple screens, and add other modules later. Short role-based training and a nominated champion at school help a lot. Keep the old receipt book for a short parallel period, so staff feel safe while they learn the new routine.

Is switching mid-session wise?

It is possible, but the start of a session or term is easier. If you switch mid-year, import opening balances carefully, test with one class first and run the old and new systems side by side for a short time. Take a backup before every large import so you can recover if needed.

Is software really safer than paper?
