Can quizzes have negative marking?

Yes. A quiz can have negative marks per wrong answer if the teacher sets it. Use negative marking only if students are used to it, and explain it in the instructions. For younger classes, simple scoring without negative marks usually gives fairer and less stressful results.

Are written answers auto-marked?

No. Only multiple-choice questions are marked automatically. Use assignments for written work, where the teacher reads the submission, assigns a grade and adds remarks. A mix of short quizzes and one weekly assignment is a manageable routine for most teachers.

Is it a replacement for live online classes?

No. NexoraEDU’s learning module covers study material, assignments and quizzes, but not live video classes or proctoring. Use your preferred video tool for live teaching and NexoraEDU to share notes, collect work and record quiz scores alongside attendance and report cards.

Do students need a separate app?

No. Students use the same web portal as parents, with their own login, in any browser. There is no downloadable app and an internet connection is needed. For quizzes, we recommend a quiet slot in school or a lab for important tests so that the timer is fair for everyone.
