Who should be allowed to change attendance later?

Only the class teacher or a senior role. Use the roles and permissions screen to limit editing, and rely on the audit log to see important changes. Changing attendance after the fact should be rare and recorded, because attendance may be used for board eligibility and parent disputes.

Can parents see attendance?

Yes. In the parent portal, parents log in with their own password and see daily and monthly attendance for their child. This reduces calls to the office and lets parents correct misunderstandings early. The portal is a web portal that opens in a phone browser, not a mobile app.

Does the system support biometric attendance?

No. Attendance is marked manually by teachers on screen in this version. Biometric, RFID and face-recognition devices are not integrated. If your school needs device-based attendance, tell us in the demo and we can discuss it as a custom project.

How do we handle late arrivals and half days?

Agree the rules first. NexoraEDU has codes for present, absent, late, half day, leave and medical leave, and late is counted as present. Keep your rule for half days written in the school handbook, so teachers mark the same way and totals are consistent across classes.

Agree the codes first

Mark at the same time every day

Class teacher marks attendance in the first period.
Front desk reviews the summary by 10 am.

Use the low-attendance list

Set the limit your school follows and review the list weekly. A call in week three is more useful than a notice in term end.

Holidays and special days
